A self-avowed history buff, Harv's collection of vintage radios display a passion for his hobby, and his dedication to the industry. Away from the mic, Harv enjoys golf, camping and family time with wife Ann and their adult children. |

As a member of CFAM's award-winning news team, Dean Penner has covered everything from floods to blizzards, accidents, fires, farm rallies and criminal trials. His keen interest in the local impact of world events mirrors his department's mission statement. It has also garnered national recognition for southern Manitoba's local news leader. The line between work and leisure can be a fuzzy one for this "CNN news junkie." Away from the studio or newsbeat, you'll find Dean spending time with his family, golfing or skiing. |

Since joining the Golden West newsroom in 2003, Kelvin Heppner has covered local news, sports, and agriculture. This spring he received his agribusiness degree from the University of Manitoba and has moved behind the farm desk full-time as CFAM's new farm broadcaster. Kelvin also has a love for sports - baseball and Maple Leafs hockey in particular. In winter he likes to cheer on the Altona Maroons. Music plays an integral part of his life. Kelvin enjoys playing guitar or piano at his home church. |

Since 1985, Clayton Dreger has helped make CFAM the leader in community-level sports coverage.Clayton has covered provincial, national and World Curling championships, two Grey Cups games, Pan Am Games and World Junior Hockey championships. He's talked to sports legends like Bobby Orr, Danny Gallivan, and Ken Ploen. Winter months are spent on the curling beat. Come spring, the links come calling. That is, when he's not coaching his kids at their sports of choice. |

Daryl Braun started his radio career over 30 years ago at CFAM in Altona, first as an announcer and then specializing in news. He delivers "The Business Report" weekday mornings at 6:20 and 7:20. Daryl serves on the board of the Radio-Television News Directors Association of Canada and is chair of the Prairie Panel for the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council. He starts his day at 4:10 coordinating news and information programming. Daryl also handles administrative duties for the news team. |

Matt Friesen, a graduate of the Western Academy of Broadcasting College in Saskatoon, joined the Golden West news team in February 2003. He enjoys all aspects of life, especially cheering his heart out for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Matt's also a perennially disappointed Toronto Maple Leafs fan. When Matt isn't spending time at the rink as the voice of the Winkler Flyers, he enjoys family time with his wife Patti and their children Hannah and Jackson. |

New reporter Candace Derksen started working at CFAM in May 2006. You may see her out in the public eye gathering stories, or hear her Saturday mornings broadcasting the latest local news. Away from work, Candace enjoys nursing a cup of Timmy Ho's coffee or socializing with family and friends. This summer she's determined to learn the game of golf, a skill all of her newsroom peers seem to have developed. |

News reporter Marj Heinrichs covers events in and around her home in Rosenort. She's been in the business of journalism for over 15 years. Marj's writing and photography skills are kept sharp by the communications business she runs. This venture has taken her into First Nations communities, researching and recording history and working with school curriculum. Off the beat, Marj enjoys spending time with grandson Alex (and the rest of her family), reading, running, and relaxing at "the Heinrichs shack" in the Pembina Hills. |

A Golden West Radio employee for several years, Pam Fedack started as a weekend and evening announcer operating ball games for CKMW (our sister station in Winkler) and then moved into the news department. Pam and her husband Johnathon are avid Blue Bomber fans and have trained their children Nathaniel and Georgia to back the Blue and Gold. Listen for Pam as she covers local news events. |

Jennifer Cassils has been involved in the media industry since 1999 and enjoys every minute of it. Cutting her "radio teeth" as a reporter, Jenn was promoted to news director at Golden West's Winkler center this past year. She moved to the area in 2003 and now resides in Morden. In her spare time, Jenn enjoys playing and watching sports, working on mosaics and is involved with the theatre companies in Morden and Winkler. |

As the newest member of CFAM's news team, reporter Vickie Addison is having a blast learning the ins and outs of the broadcasting world. She is a Morden native and loves being able to work in a area that she has come to love so much! In her spare time Vickie enjoys being involved with the local theatre company, golfing horribly (the golfing that is, not doing it horribly), and spending time with her greatest achievement -- son Logan. |
